The claims of Christianity are historically testable in a way that atheism simply cannot be. All of this culminates into a compelling argument for the reliability of the New Testament. Once that is established, it is possible to move to that which is claimed within Scripture.
The great apologist and apostle, Paul, once said, “he [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God.” (Colossians 1:15-18, NKJV)1 Paul and the other eyewitnesses of Jesus saw him as the final proof that God exists. Not only that, but Jesus was the proof that God was interested in the wellbeing and ultimate destiny of his creation. For most Atheists, citing Jesus to prove God’s existence probably seems too simple. The atheist calls for the empirical. The well-documented life of Jesus was empirical data recorded in the best technology of the day.
