Comparing Beliefe in God to Belief in the Tooth Fairy is unscientific.

Comparing belief in God to belief in the tooth fairy is like this.

A doctor has two unrelated patients, Bob and John. He needs to test them both for blood disease. He runs the first test on Bob and it comes up negative. He then brings John in and says, "good news, John, the test I ran on Bob came up negative, so you don't have blood disease." John is horrified at how terrible a doctor he has.

IF the existence of God and the Tooth Fairy could be tested, it would require TWO separate experiments, with independent results. Unless correlation can be proved  between these two results, the comparison is as un-scientific as comparing Pokemon to William Shakespeare.
